For those who are afraid to bump into spirits or ghosts during this Ulambama Festival, receiving Sindongma Initiation is helpful. This Lion-Faced dakini and female tantric Buddha is regarded as one of the principal wrathful manifestations of Padmasambhava (Guru Rinpoche). She is appropriate for protecting from curses, black magic, and other misfortunes. In addition, she has the power to clear obstacles of the most pervasive and malignant kind, and cutting through the “three poisons” of mind. Please bear in mind that Mantra of Singdongma is very harmful to all kind of spirits, demons, and ghosts. Therefore, do not recite it loudly especially near rivers and seas in order to avoid harming innocent Nagas or other spirits who have no intention to harm nor disturb you.

My very First Enperienced
Do I believe in Ghost?
Year 2001, I went to Mumbai, India for a business trip with a colleage of mine. Since it was our first time in India, our Indian supplier was very friendly and he booked a hotel for us to stay. The hotel which we stayed was near by the International Airport. It was rather late when we arrived Mumbai and our supplier fetched us and then dropped us at the hotel.
I and my colleague were arranging to sleep at a separate room but the rooms were connected. The room which I checked in was rather old and simple. It seemed like a 2 stars hotel to me. I went to take a hot shower immediately I put down my luggage. After freshen up myself, I double checked the door to make sure that it was securely locked. Before I continue my story, there is something which I need to tell my readers that I'm someone who is (chicken) afraid of ghosts or spirits. Thus I always have amulets or talisman with me whenever I travel because I've heard many Ghost stories occured in hotel rooms. In order to sleep without fear, I placed my consecrated little Shakyamuni Buddha statue on a bed side table. Then I switched off all the lights but the was TV remaining on. I have a very bad habit which is I can’t sleep with the lights on. A tiny bit of light will wake me up. I tucked myself in the bed after switching off the lights but I didn’t fall asleep right away.
I remember vividly the TV program which was showing on HBO. I turned off the TV after watching it for 10 to 15 minutes with a remote control. I said to myself that I need to sleep as early as possible because our supplier will pick us up early in the morning to have a business meeting. The room was pitch-dark and pin drop silence after switching off the TV and so I drifted off. In the middle of the night, I fell the room was very bright even with my eyes closed. As a light sleeper, I slowly opened my eyes and thought to myself that it could be dawn. So I got off the bed immediately and wanted to get myself ready. I didn’t want to be late because I was thinking that my supplier could be waiting for me at the lobby in any minutes. However, what stopped me from freshen up myself was that the room was very quiet. There was no noise coming from the street. Thus I walked to a window and opened a blind. My instinct was right. The sky was still dark. It couldn’t be dawn. The room was bright because a light was on. Spontaneously I was so frighten. I was frightened not because of ghost but thief instead. I checked my wallet and passport to make sure that it was still with me. Strangely, everything I brought was still in the room. I went to check the door to find out whether it was still securely locked. And ironically it was securely locked and I checked my wrist watch and it showed 3am. After checking the door, I tried to find where the light came out from and it was the table lamp on the bed side table where I placed my Buddha statue. I felt crept after knowing that the light was came out from there. I contemplated for a while and said to myself that it couldn’t be on. Because I was very sure that the lights were all turned off and only the TV was remaining on when I jumped into the bed. Making sure all lights are off and TV remaining on and then switching it off with remote control is my mundane routine. How could I make an exception that day? Moreover, there was a hot water bottle placed just in front of the switch of the table lamp. If I sleep walked that night, which I never have sleep walk experience before, my hand would have pushed that hot water bottle a side. In other words, the switch to on that table lamp was hard to reach. Goose bumps showed on my skin after thinking about it. I couldn't sleep after that.
That morning, I told what happened in my room with my colleague and his eyes were wide opened. He told me what he had experienced that night was even worse than me. He didn’t get any sleep at all because he heard that doors of the room along the corridor kept opened and closed all night long.
